When you enable quotas on a volume that has existing files, Windows calculates the disk space used by each user who has created, copied, or taken ownership of the existing files. The default quota limits and warning levels are then applied to all current users and to any new user who saves a file. To view and modify the quota entries for a given drive, open the properties dialog box for that drive, click the Quota tab, and then click Quota Entries. The Quota Entries window opens, as shown in Figure 18-9.

Configuring Directory Service Objects for Auditing If you have specified the Audit Directory Service Access event category for auditing, you can audit user access to Active Directory objects. To configure an Active Directory object for auditing, complete the following steps: 1. Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Active Directory Users And Computers. In the Active Directory Users And Computers console, click View, and then click Advanced Features. 2. Select the object that you want to audit, click Properties on the Action menu, click the Security tab, and then click Advanced. 3. In the Advanced Security Settings For dialog box for the object, in the Auditing tab, click Add, select the users or groups for whom you want to audit Active Direc tory object access, and then click OK. 4. In the Auditing Entry For dialog box for the object, shown in Figure 13-11, select the Successful check box, the Failed check box, or both check boxes for the events that you want to audit.
